Support and Guidence

Before embarking on your A-Level courses you will have anin-depth interview with an experienced member of staff who will outline the procedure for the next two years. Care is taken to guide students towards the courses which will be of most benefit to them, taking account of any career aspirations they may have.

You will be placed in an appropriaate tutor group and your personal tutor will monitor your progress and well-being for the next two years. There is always someone available to discuss academic or personal problems whether it is your tutor, the Director or Deputy of Sixth Form,a member of the support staff or an outside agency.

Inevitably some students have difficulty in adapting to the more independant approach to work that is required at Advanced Level and a Sixth Form mentor is available to give advice on study technique and time management
